About / Jason Jensen

Mechanical training, industrial exposure, and a quality-control mindset.

I bring a practical mechanical background to technical work that needs structure, traceability, and direct feedback.

01 / Background

Edmonton / AB / CA

A mechanical engineer-in-training working where domain knowledge meets technical quality.

I'm a University of Victoria mechanical engineering graduate and Engineer-in-Training based in Edmonton. My background includes industrial machinery, CNG equipment, field and production environments, technical documentation, and current contract work evaluating mechanical-engineering content for AI training.

I'm at my best when the source material is messy, the technical question needs structure, and the person responsible for the decision needs a clearer record of what was checked.

02 / How I work

Make the reasoning easier to inspect.

01

Define the input

Start with the source material, constraints, and decision that actually exist.

02

Expose assumptions

Separate what is known, inferred, calculated, and still uncertain.

03

Show the evidence

Leave a traceable record that another reviewer can follow and challenge.

04

Deliver for use

Shape the output around the next decision, review, or project step.

A practical starting point

Send the technical context. I'll respond with the fit.

A short brief is enough to define the likely boundary, a sensible first deliverable, and whether the work matches my background.
